The conversation they have with themselves

Who am I, and what do I want to create with my life?

Being a teenager today means growing up among expectations, comparisons and social pressure. Family expects something, friends expect something and social media shows something different.

At Elemental we call conversation everything a person tells themselves and concludes about what they live. When a phrase repeats for a long time, it starts to feel like a truth.

“I’m not enough.” “No one understands me.” “I can’t make mistakes.” “I won’t fit in.”

We don’t come to tell them who they should be. We create a space for them to discover their strengths and start consciously participating in building their future.

Young people in an Elemental group dynamic
Much more than a talk

Teenagers don’t need another adult telling them what to do.

They need spaces to participate, experiment, question and discover their own answers. That’s why Elemental Teens isn’t a traditional class: it’s conversations, interactive activities, group dynamics and guided exercises.

We don’t aim to hand them a manual for being the perfect teenager.

We aim for them to see themselves clearly and recognize that their words and choices have impact.

A stage full of change

Sometimes what looks like rebellion is a search for identity.

They question adults, seek independence and need to belong, while still developing tools to communicate what they feel and handle pressure.

What can show up
  • Difficulty expressing what’s happening to them.
  • Constant comparison with others.
  • Pressure to belong or get approval.
  • Uncertainty about their goals and future.
What they can develop
  • Confidence without having to fit in.
  • Clear, respectful communication.
  • Their own decisions under pressure.
  • Goals turned into actions.

Elemental Teens doesn’t label these experiences as flaws. It uses them as opportunities for each participant to observe themselves, get to know themselves and discover new ways of responding.

What they work on

Tools to relate better to themselves and to others.

01

Knowing themselves without having to fit in

Confidence doesn’t come from looking like everyone else. They explore their strengths and what they value, so they aren’t defined by their mistakes or comparisons.

  • What qualities they recognize in themselves.
  • How they react to criticism.
  • How much they depend on outside approval.
02

Learning to communicate

Expressing yourself isn’t shouting louder and listening isn’t agreeing. A difficult conversation doesn’t have to destroy a relationship.

  • Expressing ideas and emotions clearly.
  • Setting boundaries respectfully.
  • Handling disagreements without turning them into attacks.
03

Deciding under pressure

Belonging shouldn’t require them to stop listening to themselves. We don’t decide for them: we help them see how they’re deciding.

  • What happens when they want to say “no”.
  • Choosing for themselves or to fit in.
  • Turning a dream into concrete steps.
Adults who guide without controlling

A safe space doesn’t mean a space without challenges.

It means a place where they can participate without being humiliated. Facilitators listen without ridiculing, guide without imposing and promote respect and responsibility. They don’t replace parents or decide anyone’s future.

We don’t use shame, ridicule or group pressure as learning tools.

The challenge always comes with respect, guidance and the possibility to choose.

What they could discover

We don’t promise to turn them into someone different. We create a space for new possibilities.

Their strengths

Qualities and achievements they don’t always see in themselves.

Their inner conversation

How what they tell themselves influences their confidence and decisions.

Communicating clearly

Expressing ideas, emotions, needs and boundaries.

Conscious decisions

Recognizing outside pressure and the consequences of their actions.

Time and goals

Turning an intention into concrete steps and commitments.

A future of their own

Exploring what they want to build and who they want to be.

For mothers, fathers and caregivers

Your teenager doesn’t need to be “fixed”.

  • Elemental Teens doesn’t start from the idea that something is wrong with your child, but from the fact that they’re going through a decisive stage.
  • It offers them a space to get to know themselves, strengthen their confidence and practice decision-making.
  • It connects them with adults and young people in a respectful environment.
Important

A training, not therapy.

Elemental Teens is a personal-development and life-skills experience. It doesn’t replace therapy, medical care, school support or mental-health treatment.

If a teenager is going through a crisis, is at risk of self-harm or needs specialized care, it’s important to seek support from a qualified professional.

They don’t need to have their whole life figured out

They need to discover they can take part in creating it.

We can’t choose every experience they’ll live. We can offer them tools to know themselves, communicate and decide more consciously.
